Staying at the Preserve (FAQ)

  • What is the check in and check out time?

    Check in is 4 p.m. and check out is 12 p.m.

  • Can I check in early and check out late?

    We are able to take requests for both an early check-in and late check-out. While we’re unable to guarantee early access or delayed departure, we do welcome you to arrive to the property as early as you wish on the day of your arrival. If the accommodation is not yet available to you, we are happy to store your luggage while you enjoy on-site amenities. The same applies to the day of your departure as well. Should a late check-out be unavailable, we are happy to store your belongings while you continue to enjoy the Preserve property.

  • Is there a dress code?

    The dress code at the Preserve is Resort Casual. However, collared shirts and closed-toe shoes are required in our dining venues and our shooting range. Additionally, long sleeve collared shirts and closed-toe shoes are required for sporting clays.

  • Do you accept dogs?

    We are most pleased to offer to our overnight guests the opportunity to share with their dogs the luxurious accommodations in one of our specially selected rooms and suites. We have a 50 lb. weight limit per pet for up to 100lbs for two pets. A $195 pet fee will apply, and a $250 cleaning fee may be charged in the event of excessive cleaning needed due to pet hair or accidents.

  • Are children allowed?

    We welcome children of all ages to the property.

  • Do you offer babysitting services?

    Yes, we have a staff of highly experienced babysitters and are able to arrange for their services with advance notice.

  • What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
    • 50% deposit required at time of booking, the remaining 50% will be taken 7 days out from arrival.
    • If arrival is within 7 days of the time of booking, 100% of the full stay room and tax will be taken.
    • The penalty if a guest cancels within the 7 days is 100% of full stay room and tax.
  • What does the daily resort fee cover?

    The Preserve charges guests a daily resort fee of $60 (plus tax). The resort fee includes gratuities for hotel staff including bellmen, housekeeping and floor valets; complimentary nightly parking; snacks and beverages in guestrooms; high-speed internet access; all local phone calls and a selection of daily resort activities.

  • Do you offer in-room dining?

    Yes, in-room dining is available to resort guests between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • What kind of kitchen supplies are available in the accommodations that feature kitchens?

    Each accommodation with a kitchen is equipped with the basic cookware to prepare a meal, as well as serving sets for up to six people. Additional items are available upon request.

  • Can I have the kitchen stocked before I arrive?

    Yes, we are happy to stock your kitchen with groceries with advance notice.

  • Where do you park and check in for accommodations?

    When you arrive to the property, you will check in with the guard house who will direct you to the Main Lodge to start your check in process.

  • Can you stay overnight in the Hobbit Houses, Safari Tents or Tree Houses?

    Overnight stays are not available in the Maker’s Mark Hobbit Houses the Safari Tent Scotch and Cigar Tasting Experience or the Tree Houses. Each is available for either private dining or as private event space for groups.
